Day 1: Arusha
Pick from Arusha Airport or Mt Kilimanjaro Airport to the office or hotel for refreshment and checking to the hotel to relax get briefed by your guide and do a mountain checklist to confirm everything dinner and overnight at the booked hotel.


Day 2: Arusha –Marangu Gate
After having your breakfast we will make a short journey from your hotel in Marangu to the National Park gate for the necessary formalities at the gate. We start the climb through a fascinating tropical rain forest; we reach the first hut at Mandara for dinner and overnight on Kilimanjaro. An alternative is to simply rest and relax in the beautiful forest around the camp.

Day 3: Mandara-Horono

Predawn walk for ten hours walks towards Horombo. The landscape becomes more rugged and rocky but superb, both Mawezi and Kibo peaks in view. We arrive at Horombo Hut in mid-afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning scenery around the camp.

Day 4: Horombo-Kibo Hut
After breakfast continue your ascent into the Alpine desert, pass the last water point at 13550 ft/4130m. The summit is now a further 3921ft /1195m up. Go for all meals dinner and overnight at the hut and try to get as much rest and sleep as possible.


Day 5: kibo-Uhuru peak-Horombo
Habitat: Stone screed and ice-capped summit around 2330hrs, you will wake up and after some tea and biscuits you shuffle off into the night, and this is where the going really gets tough. The first section of the trail consists of a rocky path to the Hans Meyer point (17225ft/5250m), also a good resting spot. The path then zigzags up to Gillman’s point (18639ft/5 681m), which is located on the crater rim. This section is very steep with a lot of stone screed, requiring a great physical and mental effort.
From Gillman’s Point, you will normally come across snow all the way up to Uhuru peak (19341ft/5895m), the highest point in Africa. Weather conditions on the summit will determine how long you will be able to spend, taking photographs before the 3 hours descent back to Kibo hut. After a short rest, you gather all the gear you left behind for the ascent and head down to Horombo hut (3 hours) for your overnight.

Day 6: Horombo
After breakfast and refreshing; descend through the moorland to the Mandara Huts. Have lunch there then continue your triumphant recessional down through the lush forest.

Day 7 : Horombo Marangu Gate
After breakfast descend to the gate through the scenic view of the mountain while taking beautiful photos to arrive at the gate and pick up by vehicle to Arusha or the airport as per your proposal
